Shipping & Delivery Information
Welcome to The Workshop Way. We specialise in heavy-duty workshop infrastructure, machinery, and outdoor structures. Because our products range from high-precision tools to multi-ton timber buildings, shipping methods and lead times vary by product category.
1. General Delivery Information

All deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

We offer Free Delivery to Mainland UK on the vast majority of our items. However, specific remote locations, offshore islands, and parts of the Scottish Highlands may incur a freight surcharge. If your delivery address falls into a surcharge zone, our team will contact you prior to processing your order.
2. Delivery Processing & Lead Times by Category

Dust Extraction Systems & Tools: Dispatched via standard UK courier networks (e.g., DPD, DHL, FedEx). Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days from order confirmation. A tracking link will be emailed to you upon dispatch.

Industrial Workbenches: Due to their industrial weight and structural size, workbenches are shipped via specialist pallet freight networks.

Made-to-Order Benches: Delivery takes around 20 working days as these are engineered and built to specification.

Flat-Pack Benches: Delivery takes 3–5 working days.

Please Note: Pallet deliveries are kerbside only. The delivery vehicle must have clear, flat, hard-standing access to your property. It is the customer's responsibility to move the item from the kerbside into the workshop.

Workshops, Sheds & Log Cabins: Delivered via heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) equipped with a Hiab crane or forklift system. Delivery lead times range from 20 - 40 working days depending on custom specifications and manufacturing queues. Our logistics team will call you well in advance to schedule a specific delivery date. You must ensure there is adequate roadside clearance for a large commercial vehicle to safely offload your building kits.
3. Delivery Inspection (Crucial)
Given the heavy nature of industrial equipment, you must inspect all items for transit damage before signing the carrier's delivery note. If a pallet, timber pack, or packaging arrives visibly damaged, please sign for the item as "DAMAGED" and contact us within 24 hours at hello@theworkshopway.co.uk with photographic evidence so we can arrange an immediate exchange.
